Support

OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION is to make a positive difference to people and their families by delivering personalised health and social care that helps them to achieve the things they want out of life.

Our Values

Safe

We put the person at the centre of all our work and listen and act on what they tell us. We will respect and promote the human, legal and civil rights of all the people we support, our organisation and wider society.

Sound

We will provide high quality care and support that is safe, evidence based, and outcome focused. We will work in an appreciative way, that is hopeful and encouraging, using positive and strength-based approaches.

SUPPORTIVE

We will empower the people we support in a manner that is progressive and enables them to exercise choice and control. We will work with our partners to create pathways that enable people to grow and achieve their goals.

MAXIMISING CHOICE, CONTROL & INDEPENDENCE

We’re dedicated to empowering and inspiring people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to embrace the best life has to offer.

We aim to make a real difference to everyone’s life by embedding our company’s values into our practice by providing each individual with the right support: maximising their choice, control and independence.

We ensure the right care by providing person-centres support and promoting their dignity, privacy and human rights.

We create the right culture through the ethos, values, attitudes and behaviours of our leaders and support staff. We ensure the individual using our services leads a confident, inclusive and empowered life.

Quality

Our Quality Assurance Framework provides a continuous cycle of audit and observational audits, systems, and processes that revolve around the individuals we support, placing a strong emphasis on their safety, quality, diversity, and human rights (EDHR).
The manager also records key quality data and this is analysed by our Quality lead. This enables us to be agile in response to risk but also ensures effective collaborative working. Through continuously reviewing, analysing, and embedding our key quality assurance tools, we drive a positive learning culture throughout Bricket Wood Care shapes outstanding outcomes for the people we support and ensures innovation is at the heart of our quality improvement.

We work with local authorities, integrated care boards, continuing healthcare teams

For the people we support

If you need care and support within a care home environment, we will talk to you about your wishes and goals and talk to you about what you can do for yourself and what you would like support with. We can discuss the number of hours support you may need, how many staff you may need and most importantly the type of person you would prefer to support you. This may be someone who has the same interests as you and staff team and most importantly, what the person’s goals are in life. this may be learning to budget, becoming more physically fit, going to college or accessing employment opportunities. We will then talk to you about your goals and wishes for the future.

Please see our easy read section for further information on how we can support you.

For families

The people we support are at the heart of everything we do, and we know that listening to families gives us the best chance of getting things right. It makes a huge difference to our support teams when they receive compliments from families of the people they support. If you would like to pass on a compliment, you can do so here – thank you.
